John C. Spiess

SPIESS, John C., St. Louis, MO, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, December 10, 2006 age 92, dearest husband of Marion V. Spiess (nee: Michler); devoted father of Marilyn (Richard) Daly, Carolyn Dickens and Patricia (Ralph) Merola; beloved grandfather of John Forti III, Alison Daly, Jill McLoughlin, Ashley Murphy, Stephanie and Stephen Merola; great grandfather of Michael and Lauryn Murphy and Katherine McLoughlin; preceded in death by his parents William and Balbina Speiss. Mr. Spiess was a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church and served 24 years before his retirement as a Motorcycle Police Officer for the city of St. Louis and worked for 17 years at McDonnell Douglas following retirement from the St. Louis Police Department. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
