John Cody

John “Jack” Cody of Hawk Point, MO, passed away at the age of 81 on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.  Loving husband of Ercell Cody; devoted father of Jena (James) Spinner, treasured grandfather of Madeline Spinner and Evan Spinner; dear brother of Joan (Jim) Martin and Joyce Weitkamp. Jack is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Joe Cody and mother Mary Cody. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Judy Cody and brother-in-law Larry Weitkamp.

Jack worked as the Audio-Visual Director for the City of St. Charles School District for 29 years. He owned race horses for many years and never missed the Kentucky Derby. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always joking around. You could always tell when he was nearby by the sound of his whistling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Jack will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
