John David Smith

John David Smith, of O'Fallon, MO, gone too soon, on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the age of 42. Cherished son of Kathey Smith and the late David Smith; devoted father of Tre David Smith; loved grandson of Anne (the late Elbert “John”) Johnson and the late Eldon and Billie Kemper; dear brother of Tracy Smith and Leigh Smith; treasured nephew of Linda (Bill) Fleming, Ron (Sherri) Kemper, Phillip (Maryann) Kemper, Mary Jo (the late Michael) Perkins and the late Thomas Smith; dear uncle of  Alexandra Kettler, and great-uncle of Vaedyn Kettler. John is also survived by his dear friend who was like a brother to him, Bill Hill, as well as many cousins and other friends.

John was a member of Faith Church of St. Charles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and guns. He was considered a “survivalist”. John was a very caring individual, who was a very devoted family man. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the family to assist with funeral expenses, or to the American Heart Association.
