John E. Peel, 61, of Warrenton died September 2, 2001 at St. Joseph's Health Center in St. Charles. He was born September 22, 1939, to Gladys (Tegtmeier) and James W. Peel in Brookfield Missouri, and subsequently lived in East St. Louis, Illinois, Prairie Village, Kansas, and St. Charles, Missouri. Mr. Peel was a Production Control Manager for Biomerieux before his retirement in 1997. Prior to that he worked for the Electronics and Vitek Divisions of McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of APICS, the American Production and Inventory Control Society. John was a graduate of Kansas State University, and a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He served with the Army in Korea. He was a Cub Scout Master and Boy Scout Leader, and more recently was a member of the Animal Welfare Association in Warrenton. He is survived by a son, Jason (Samantha) of Laramie, Wyoming and a sister Mary Jane (Bill) Wilson of Merrian, Kansas. John was preceded in death by his wife, Carlene (Werr) Peel and by his parents. A memorial service will be conducted at the Baue Funeral Home at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, I-70 and Cave Springs, at 2:00 PM on September 16, 2001.
