Beloved husband of Earl Lovelsss; loving father of Joseph M. (Beth) Loveless, Jon William Loveless, James Earl (Stephanie) Loveless, John F. (Christine) Loveless III and Marjorie Louise Loveless; dear brother of the late William P. Loveless; grandfather of 13. John was a member of Church on the Rock. He was Alaska State Director of American Legion Youth Baseball and Boys Club of America for many years. He was voted Federal Employee of the Year for Volunteerism in Anchorage, Alaska. He created and worked with OFallon Elks Youth Basketball Program and was a charter member of OFallon Elks Lodge where he was the building chairman for the new club built on Main Street. He was District Hoop Shoot Chairman, Elks Youth Basket-ball League and coached little league baseball teams. John was involved in Scout Troop 813 for many years and was the organ-izational representative. He was a Webelos Leader as well. John and his wife chartered the Ex-plorer Post 2813 through the Boy Scouts of America for disabled young adults and worked with the program for many years. He volunteered for St. Judes Childrens Hospital in working a concession at the Rams Dome. He was a volunteer counselor with the 212 Club for many years in OFallon, a member of American Legion Post 312, a member of St. Louis Numismatic Club and a member and treasurer of Bridgeton Brakedown Square Dance Club. John was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
