John Barry Haunschild

John Barry Haunschild, 74, of St Louis, Missouri, passed away on April 2, 2024, in his hometown.

John was a passionate and hardworking man who excelled in many endeavors. He was an exceptional athlete, achieving the title of an all-state high school football player at Riverview Gardens and later playing college football at Northeast Missouri State University. In his professional life, John found success as a sales executive for various companies, including Venture (Sr. Vice President), Bandai, and Walmart.

Outside of his career, John was an avid golfer and runner, even completing two marathons. He was a dedicated St Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching sports and movies in his leisure time.

Above all, John's greatest joy came from his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his family deeply, and found great joy in their company and accomplishments. He was known by family and friends for treating others with kindness, respect, and understanding.

John is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Haunschild, his son Steven (Lauren) Haunschild, daughter Jennifer (Stephen) Ulmer, granddaughters Violet Haunschild and Sienna Ulmer, as well as his brother Frank (Cheryl) Haunschild. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Haunschild, and mother, Norine Haunschild.
