John J. Murphy

John J. Murphy, Sr., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the age of 75. Dear son of the late Joseph D. and Dorene Murphy; survived by three sons John (Sarah) Murphy Jr., Michael (Jo) Murphy, and Anthony (Stephanie) Murphy; cherished grandfather of William Murphy, Benjamin Murphy, Nancy Murphy, Thomas Murphy, Meredith Murphy, and Caroline Murphy; loving and special companion of Carol Arft; dear brother of Joseph (Nancy) Murphy and Ellen (Thomas) Romanko; dear uncle to several nieces and nephews; survived by his faithful dog Sam. He is preceded in death by his brothers Robert F. Murphy and Thomas J. Murphy. John was the Vice President of the United Steel Workers Union, worked as a volunteer at Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Center, and was an avid Cardinals and Rams fan. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
