Wilke, Sr., of St. Paul, Missouri, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Mary A. "Marie" Wilke (nee: Schulte); dear son of the late Bernard J. and Gertrude Wilke; devoted father of John J. (Ruth T.) Wilke, Jr., Rev. James B. Wilke, Melvin A. (Diane L.) Wilke, Mary Ann (Michael D.) Hoelting, Alice M. (Patrick) Scarry, Arthur W. (Cindy L.) Wilke, and Joan M. Wilke; cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12; dear brother of Helen Ohlms, Kate Orf, Lu Stoehner, Alice Christian, and Esther Burkemper. He is preceded in death by his grandson Kevin Patrick Scarry, and two brothers Edward and Gene Wilke. John was a Member of Teamsters Local #600. John had been a truck driver at Rauch Truck Lines, and retired from Rauch after 22 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a 3rd Degree Knight of St. Paul Knights of Columbus Council 6415.
