John “Rabbit” VanNorman, of Saint Charles, MO, Saturday October 21, 2017, age 72. Loving husband of 46 years to Mary VanNorman; beloved son of the late Jerome and Geraldine VanNorman; devoted father of Stacy (Nicholas) Bucher, Dena (Jeremy) Stickman, Regina (Doug Brown) VanNorman, and Ashley (Duane) Gesell; cherished grandfather of Brandon, Dylan, Christian, Victoria, Tristyn, Gage, Caleb, Destiny, Shane, Micah, Bruce, Liam, Devin and Kaitlyn; treasured great-grandfather of Briella.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a practical joker, kind man, and friend to everyone. John was a family man and loved his family dearly, as well as his beloved canine friends Abby Harley, and Gizmo. John was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He liked to play fantasy football and cards, especially spades. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
