John E. Moore

John E. Moore of O'Fallon MO, went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 2, 2023, at the age of 81 after a long battle with colon cancer.

John is the cherished son of the late Ruby Katherine Moore and the late John E. Moore Sr. Dear grandson of late Alene Sanders and Alford Sanders; loving husband to Donna Wooderson Moore and the late Jacqueline Lucille Moore; treasured father to Linda Moore Platt and husband Paul Platt, Darryl Dains and wife Dawn Dains (Keleman); valued step-father to Raymond Heuer, grandfather to Paul W. Platt, Josh Dains and wife MaryAnne (Rouse), Cody Platt, Eric Dains, Kathryn Dains; step-grandfather to Preston Heuer and Taegan Heuer; great grandfather to Stella Dains; nephew of Charles "Buster" Sanders.

John was raised from a young age by his grandparents Alene Sanders and Alford Sanders due to the tragic deaths of both his mother and father in unrelated incidents. Growing up, John lived near Richland MO on a farm with his grandparents and his dear uncle Buster Sanders. At the age of 20, John moved to St. Louis to attend cosmetology school. He enjoyed a long career in hair styling, owning his own business in Clayton MO for 20 years.

John loved his Lord and Savior, actively serving in the jail ministry for 25 years, the nursing home ministry for 5 years, the primary church ministry for 12 years, and the bus ministry for 12 years.

John leaves behind countless memories for his friends and family. He was always ready to assist however he could and had no enemies. He will be dearly missed by many.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs at 3950 West Clay St. St. Charles MO 63301. Visitation will be on Friday September 8th from 5pm to 8pm. The celebration of John's life will be Saturday September 9, 2023, at 9am at Baue Cave Springs.
