JohnP.“Jack”Wittman, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 80, with family by his side. Beloved husband of Carol Sue Wittman; cherished son of Joseph Peter and Ann “Gracie” Elizabeth Wittman; dear Pop of Erin (Adrian) Stopke, Adam (Holly) Bextermueller, and Drew (Shandra) Bextermueller; dear Poppy of Ted Stopke, Ben Stopke, Lucas Stopke, Aidan Stopke, Max Bextermueller, Mason Bextermueller, Miles Bextermueller, Tyler Bextermueller, Jase Bextermueller, and Anna Grace Bextermueller; dear father of Steve (Amy) Wittman, Sonya (John) Decker, Cynthia Fard and the late Debbie Wittman; dear grandfather of Nicole (Shane) Priebe, Andrew Wittman, Scott Wittman, Jacob Decker, Christopher (Millie) Decker; great-grandfather of Jackson Decker, Henry Priebe, and Olivia Priebe; dear brother of Pete (Margaret) Wittman, Marty Wittman; dear brother in law of Bruce (Vicki) Mitchell, Gina (Dan) O'Brien, and the late Tom Mitchell; dear son-in-law of Lenora (the late Ted) Mitchell; Jack was a beloved nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Jack proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. Jack retired from Farmers Insurance after many years of service. After his own heart surgery, he volunteered with Mended Hearts at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. He was an avid camper, who loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Jack was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather who always put everyone in his life first. Jack was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew.
