John R. Gavan

June 27, 1969 — May 31, 2022

John R. Gavan passed as he lived, on his own terms. Surrounded by family, he bravely completed his journey with cancer on May 31, 2022, at the age of 52. Cherished son of Kenneth and Marilyn (nee Packard) Gavan; brother of Mark Gavan, Susan (Jeremy) Miller; uncle of Mackenzie Miller, Gavan Miller and Nicholas Candela-Gavan; nephew of Gene (Linda) Packard, Jr. He is also survived by his cousins and his sweet dog, CeeCee.

John is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Agnes Gavan, maternal grandparents, Gene and Ruth Packard and uncle, Bruce Packard. John will be greatly missed by his life long best friend Joe Klaser, and so many other treasured friends with whom he greatly enjoyed sharing adventures and shenanigans.

We will know John is with us when we hear a bass strike, collect our return at the races, win a stack at the roulette table or simply enjoy a great steak. Here’s to you, John!

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to Five Acres Animal Rescue.

Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
