John Robert Atchison

Atchison, John Robert, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 63. Loving husband of Sonda Atchison; beloved son of Ruby Atchison and the late William M. Atchison; devoted father of Tara (Joshua) Atchison-Green, Rachel (Chad Maddox) Atchison, Sarina (Matthew) Dina, Dorana (John) Wunderlich; dear brother of Sande (Randy) Greenwood and Judy (Dale) Campbell; cherished grandfather of Carter and Micah Green; treasured step-grandfather of three. John is preceded in death by his brother William "Bill" Atchison. John was employed as a Graphic Artist with McDonnell Douglas for 25 years and most recently he worked as a maintenance technician at Parkside Meadows Retirement Community. He was a member of Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles. John also enjoyed gardening and "had a green thumb". He was a dog lover and enjoyed his four Boston Terriers. John always had a desire to learn new things; his hobbies included sculpting, art work and being out in the warm weather. Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
