John S. Lauer

Beloved father of Angela Lauer, Shawn Lauer, and Dusty Lauer; loving grandfather of Noah, Liam, Isaiah, and Elise; dear brother of Terri (Kenneth) Bates, and Dale (Donna) Lauer; and Norma Lauer his former spouse. Dear uncle of Michael, Holly and Jodie Bates, Zach and Natalie Lauer, Leslie, Brett and Justin Gravlin, John and Chris Koch, Jennifer, Sarah and Anna Rock, James, Nick and Travis Tangemann, Melissa Davidson, Eric and Michael Lovelace, Kim, Katie and Roy Whitehead.   John is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Roberta Lauer.

John loved the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and was a loyal enthusiastic fan.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and being outdoors.  He had a passion for buying cars and being at the car auction and flea markets filled his days.  Spending time with family was very important to him, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He just loved people, he was very kind and generous man that would give you his shirt of his back.  He will be missed by those who knew him especially his canine companion Icey.
