John S. Skurat

Skurat, John S., of O'Fallon, MO, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late Mona Ann Skurat; beloved son of the late Steve  and Agnes Skurat; devoted father of Steven "Ed"  Skurat, Charlotte Rademacher, Brenda (Fred) Leible, Sharon (Sam) Kelley, Janet Skurat, and John Skurat; cherished grandfather of 21, treasured great-grandfather of 25 and couple of great-great grandchildren on the way; dear brother of Homer Skortz, Marcella Cleveland, Aurelia "Geri" Prosperi, and Cornelia "Connie" Schulz; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandsons Steven Skurat Jr. and Ryan Christopher Skurat, and sister Edna Parker.


John was known as "Cowboy John" or 'Cowboy Grandpa'. He was a very caring man and could fix anything. He loved western dancing and gardening in his fruit and vegetable gardens.
