John Robert Stahl

John Robert Stahl, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 60. Cherished son of the late Robert and Margaret Stahl. Devoted father of Samantha (Ian Lee) Stahl, Courtney (Joshua) Haynes, and Hallie (Mark Anzelc) Stahl; former spouse of the mother of his children, Wendy; loving grandfather of Olivia, Jackson, Elsie; dear brother of Dan (Crista) Stahl, and Anne (Patrick) Edwards; treasured uncle of Matthew, Elizabeth "Ellie", Sophie, Grace, Catie; cousin, friend, and teammate. Preceded in death by brother, Matt Stahl. 

John loved his family and friends and was a truly funny man. John was a tremendous goalkeeper who played his collegiate career at Lewis & Clark and UMSL where he was a three-time all American. On top of this he was inducted into the 2024 St Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. He was drafted by the St Louis Steamers and also played for the Toledo Pride. John was a huge sports fan and followed all STL teams closely while also remaining a staunch USC Gamecock and Notre Dame football fan. John provided comedy, humility and encouragement to become a top sales person and mentor in his field. More than anything John loved his family and friends. But his life revolved around his girls and grandchildren. John was dearly loved and will be missed by all but is celebrating in heaven with his mom, dad, and brother Matt. 

Memorials may be made in John's name to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
