John Thomas Ames

John Thomas Ames of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Joan Ames; devoted father of Kirk (Rachael) Ames, David (Katie) Ames, and Amber (Rob) Copley; loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Alexander, Jacob, Autumn, Lennon, and Harper; dear brother of Bobby Ames; cherished son of the late Willard G. and Jane Ames.

John is also preceded in death by his twin sister, Jackie Ames.

John proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army as an Army Specialist, from which he retired. He was married for more than 40 years to the love of his life, Joan. John was a member of the Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. He was also was a member of the Order of the Arrow. John enjoyed finding good deals, he never knew a stranger and was always ready to start a conversation. John was a spiritual man, and he even served as a minister for many years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
