John Vincent Quagliata, of Florissant, Missouri, age 93, passed away on February 7, 2021. Born on March 8, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Giovanni Quagliata and the late Augustina Quagliata (nee Restivo). He is preceded in death by his son Michael Quagliata. Beloved husband of Joan Quagliata (nee Selover). Loving father of the late Michael (Victoria) Quagliata, Richard (Lauren) Quagliata, Garry Quagliata, Lawrence (the late Dana) Quagliata, Lori (Richard) Parks, Karen (Jessica) Quagliata. Dear grandfather of Andrew, Kathy, John, Timothy, Shawn, Lynelle, Joseph, Grayson. Dear Great-Grandfather of Lucy, Caleb, Mary, Judah, Haley.
John proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II with the rank of Foreman, First Class V-6. He was a member of St. Norbert Catholic Church– Florissant and retired from McDonnell Douglas. John was very handy and enjoyed woodworking, making stained glass, working on cars, small engine repair, electrical, plumbing, and construction. He also enjoyed bicycling, playing bottlecaps, fishing, going to the lake, taking pictures, making home movies, and loved Cardinal Baseball. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
