John W. Bighem Jr.

John W. Bighem Jr. of St. Charles, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 13, 2018, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Linda Bighem; devoted father of Caitlin Bighem; son-in-law of Bobbie Gittemeier; and caring brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle to many. John was preceded in death by his parents Lillian and John W. Bighem, Sr.; sister Bonnie Hook; and father-in-law John Gittemeier.

John and Linda were married for 37 years. He loved being a husband and a father, his pride and joy being his family but especially his “brown eyed girl” Caitlin.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army. Some of John’s hobbies included bowling, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinal, wrenching on nieces and nephews’ cars, and repairing farm equipment that Linda broke. Besides making cherished memories with his family he loved boating, but especially at the Lake of the Ozarks on his treasured boat “The Instigator”.

John will be remembered for his kind, loving, golden heart, his fantastic sense of humor and many comedic moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him in return.
