John W. Haight, Sr.

John W.  Haight, Sr., of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Sunday March 18, 2018, at the age of 84.  Loving husband of 54 years to the late Dorothy Marie Haight; beloved son of the late Clyde and Effie Haight; devoted father of Gary (Janet) Batteiger, Steve (Shirley) Batteiger, Kathy (Alan) Bull, and John (Ronda) Haight; cherished grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 11, and great-great grandfather of 2.  John was also preceded in death by his sister, LaDonna Haight, and his grandson, Drew Daller.

John was an alumni of Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri.  He loved watching TV, especially sports, and Walker Texas Ranger.  As an avid sports fan, he especially liked watching the St. Louis Cardinals.  He refereed basketball and football in high school and junior college.  He enjoyed fishing and going on fishing trips with his buddies.  John liked traveling and going on fun family vacations.  He looked forward to spending time outdoors watching the birds and squirrels in his backyard.  He was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
