John Witt

John Edwin Witt, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Pamela Ann Witt; devoted son of the late Theodore Arnold and Pauline Elizabeth Witt; loving father of Rebecca (William) Zenthoefer, the late James Witt, and the late Douglas Witt; cherished grandfather of Tyler and Jacob; and dear brother of Ted (Vicki) Witt, Tricia Parker, and the late Sandra Burrows. 

John was a machinist for 45 years of his life, first for McDonnell-Douglas, then Boeing, and lastly for GKN Aerospace.  He was a member of the International Association of Machinists, Local 837. John was a man of faith and a proud member of First Baptist Church in Lake St. Louis, where he sang in the choir. He had a beautiful bass voice, but he was also quite the jokester. John always hoped to make people laugh. He spent many happy hours at Applebee's, IHOP, and JJ's where the staff became an extended family to him. John loved his family very much and was delighted to bring a smile to their faces. 

John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in John's name to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
