Joseph Chester Blutas

Joseph Chester Blutas, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away comfortably on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 65. Cherished son of Louise Blutas and the late Regis Blutas; beloved fiancé of Kathy Gehrig; dear brother of David J. Blutas, Judy (Thomas) Marovich, David R. Blutas, and the late Regis J. (Edna Survives) Blutas; loving uncle of Christina M. Marovich, Jesse (Hailey) Blutas, Thomas David Marovich, Jr., and great uncle of Calilope Blutas.

Joseph was born in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in many different states due to his father’s career which transferred him and the family from Pittsburgh, to Tulsa, OK, San Francisco, CA, and others. He worked for Delta Airlines for 24+ years and retired. He was blessed by traveling the world and made longtime friends wherever he went. He moved to St. Louis, MO from Tennessee to help care for his elderly parents. Shortly after his move, he became engaged to the love of his life, Kathy. Joe was loved by many people. His addictive personality and big heart attracted many people to be in his life. He was a loyal friend and came from a very close family for whom he loved so much. They played jokes on each other numerous times. His love for animals was so heartwarming. He was a proud volunteer at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Tennessee. His love for sports was unparalleled and he played throughout school years which later had ben fortunate to meet many famous athletes.

Joseph was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
