Joseph Buehrle, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 87.
Mr. Buehrle was a general foreman who had been employed by McDonnell Douglas for 32 years before retirement. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 823 and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Laymen’s Retired League, American Legion Post #312, life member of Disabled American Veterans, and a member of The White House Jesuit Retreat. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart.
Joseph loved spending time with his family especially on their annual fishing trips to Bennett Springs, Missouri. He enjoyed going fishing especially trout fishing. Joseph also enjoyed woodworking in his free time and would also spend his free time volunteering at St. Peter Catholic Church. Joseph and his wife Alice also like to travel and would frequently travel to Branson, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Buehrle (Milligan), two sons, Dave (Tammy) Buehrle and Mark (Kelly) Buehrle, two daughters, Judith Buehrle, Donna Reed, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, generations of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert H., Sr. and Caroline Buehrle (nee Douglas); his first wife Mary Ellen Buehrle (Kneemiller), daughter, Debbie Thorstad, brothers, Jerry, Gene, Glen, Ted, Jake, Ed, Bob, Charles, Paul, Bill, and Raymond, sisters, Bernice Buehrle, Estelle Meyer, Corine Stabenow, and Louise Maschmann.
Memorials may be made in Joseph 's name to Masses St. Peter Catholic Church and
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
