Joseph "Joe" A. Dion

Joseph “Joe” A. Dion, 55, of St. Charles. Born in Florissant on August 10, 1969, and gained his wings on July 20, 2024. Joe was the most loving and caring partner to his wife of 15 years, Melanie Coldewe Dion.

Preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Barbara Dion. Survived by siblings Richard Dion and Laurie (Kevin) Funk. Daughter Sarah Dion. Brother-in-law of David S. Coldewe II. Uncle to David Coldewe III, Devin McCoy, Dylan and Degan Coldewe, and Kirsten Funk. Great uncle of Jackson Bevins. Son in law of Pamela Rufkahr Coldewe.

Joe graduated from Hazelwood High School (‘88) where he played soccer. He was a collector of antiques including metal lunch boxes and special edition Barbies. His prize possession is "Barbara Jean," a 1965 red Mustang that he took to lots of car shows and met gearhead friends with the same passion. He and Melanie enjoyed many traveling excursions with friends. Joe enjoyed woodworking, DIY projects and spectator sports. Always willing to lend a helping hand. He was employed at Old Dominion Freight Line.
