Joseph E. “Bud” Bush of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rosetta Bush; his parents, Joseph Bush and Bertha (Marvin) Johnson; and his brother, John (Joyce) Bush.
Joseph is survived by his children, Lisa Kantz and Dawn Roellig; his grandchildren, Alexander Kantz and Nicole Roellig; and his sisters, Teddy (Larry) Dooley and Nancy Bryarly; and his beloved Shih-Tzu, Zippo.
Joseph served his country in the United States Air Force. He had the distinction of belonging to the Masons and the Shriners. He was fond of fishing and spending time on his boat out on Cuivre River where he was always on the lookout for catfish. Joseph cultivated a huge vegetable garden and canned his own salsa from what he grew. Every November, Joseph would make his own fudge from scratch and everyone always loved it – he also made the best fried chicken.
For fun, Joseph liked to watch the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR races, and old westerns on television. For Joseph, family always came first. He was a good man, strong and proud, who never let anyone tell him what to do. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made in Joseph's name to
the American Heart Association.
