Joseph Frederick Heidolph, Jr., of Iron County Missouri, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at the age of 89. Cherished son of the late Joseph Sr., and Viola Heidolph; devoted father of Frederick A. (Fiancé Ann Trammel) Heidolph, Carl A. (Cherene) Heidolph, Hilarie Heidolph Robinson, and Holly L. (Dorinda Gay) Heidolph; loving grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of four; dear brother of Jeanne L. Haehling and the late Lois Grohe; Joseph is also survived by the mother to his children, Olive Detering; companion Martha Norman and several very close friends and family.
Joe proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War, he continued to serve in the reserves for many years following his honorable discharge. Joe worked as a cartographer, doing defense mapping for many years, he retired from the Department of Defense in 1986. He was always a very busy man and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and competitive shooting, his son Fred was a constant companion during these adventures. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. Joe was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying Radio Control Airplanes. Joe was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
