Joseph Henry Pennington, 52, born on August 1, 1964 passed away on the morning of September 23, 2016. Joey was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy A. Pennington; his siblings, Joan Fischer, James Pennington, Mary (Michael) Parmer, Paul S. (Diana) Pennington, Judy (John) Buback, Carol (Troy) Wright, Roger Pennington, and John (Victoria) Pennington; his nieces and nephews, Nathan (Agnes) Fischer, Matt Parmer, Nick (Ariel) Parmer, Jared Pennington, Tom (Kelly) Pennington, Nick Weber, Austin Weber, John Buback, Jr., Melissa (Todd) Stein, Courtney (Justin) Polette, Kasey (Joshua) Pillo, Emily (Mario) Afu, Jodi Pennington, and Scott Pennington; five great nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Joey was preceded in death by his father, John M. Pennington.

Joey’s good nature and ready smile touched all he connected with. When he was not with his family, Joey received loving care from the staff at the Kenny Wilson Center of O’Fallon. In addition, he received care from the Respite Care Home of St. Charles County. Joey was fortunate to have so many wonderful people in his life to support his family in caring for him.

Joey was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
