Joseph Hashman

Joseph Hashman, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the age of 92. Dear son of the late Joseph and the late Letha M. Hashman; dear step-father of Thomas (Karen) Bauman; cherished grandfather of Chad Bauman and Deanna (Minoo) Jalal; dear brother of Mary, Edna and Paul. Joe was a Chemist for the U.S. Government. He attended Kent State University, BS and Western Reserve University, MS & PhD. Joe was interested in organic chemistry-fuels and oxidizers for rockets, missiles and space vehicles and received 2 paten citations. While serving in World War II he received a Good Conduct Metal, WWII Victory Medal, Euro-African-Middle East Medal with a Silver Standard and a Bronze Medal. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
