LCDR Joseph “Joe” Baruzzini

LCDR Joseph L. Baruzzini USN Retired, WWII Veteran, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the age of 93. Loving husband of the late Frances Baruzzini; beloved son of the late Joseph and Virginia Baruzzini; dear brother of Alfred Victor Baruzzini, Sr.; cherished uncle of Louis 'Barry' (Debbie) Baruzzini, Jr., Mary Gail (Tony) Garey, Steven E. (Kelley) Baruzzini, James J. Baruzzini, Elisa (Vic) Muschler, Gina Baruzzini-Augsburger, Laurie (Rick) Baruzzini-Koenen, Claudia (Jim) Niewald, Alfred Victor (Kelli) Baruzzini, Jr., and Carla (Tim) Cooper. He is preceded in death by his brothers Louis Baruzzini and Gino Baruzzini.
Joseph was awarded the Silver Star and the Navy Cross, he was a member of the Commemorative Air Force, St. Louis Soaring Association, Naval Reserve Officers Association, and Washington University Alumni Association, and he enjoyed building model airplanes, model trains, painting and square dancing.
