Joseph L. “Joe” Heppermann

Heppermann, Joseph L. "Joe", of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Betty Jean Heppermann NEE: Mathews, beloved father of Carol Kreyling, Patricia (Scott) Dowler, John Birch and Pamela (Roland) Schwarzen; cherished grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of 12 and great-great-grandfather of 2; dear brother of Linus (Odelia) Heppermann. He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Deborah Corliss, step-grandson, Daniel Schwarzen, and 10 brothers and sisters. Joe was a beloved uncle and dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Before Joe's retirement, he was employed as a Mechanic in the Electric Motive Department with General Motors, St. Louis, Missouri. He was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and a member of UAW. He served his country honorably during WWII in the U.S. Army. Memorials may be made to the Theraputic Horsemanship for Special Needs Children or Masses.
