Joseph Robbins

Joseph J. Robbins “Papa Joe”, of Florissant, MO, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at the age of 85. Devoted husband of the late Carolyn Robbins; cherished son of the late Stanley and Marie Robbins; devoted father of Michelle (Steven) Gruender, Cheryl Robbins, Laurie (Edward) Keady; loving grandfather of Lauren (Rob) Hosenfelt, the late Brian Gruender, Kelsey (Fiancé Matt Baker) Keady, Courtney Keady; dear brother of the late Mike (Jan survives) Robbins; he is also survived by his niece, Christine, and was a loving neighbor and friend to many.

Joseph proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. Joseph spent most of his accounting career with Brown Shoe Company. After retirement he returned to the workforce part-time. At the age of 85, he was considered a highly valuable employee at Mueller Management Company. Joseph had a love for all sports especially of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. His faith was a huge strength in his life. He and his longtime neighbor, Mary, prayed the rosary daily. Papa Joe’s family was the center of his life and always came first.  Of all his interests his family was the most important love in his life. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery will be immediately following the mass.
