Joseph L. Schoendienst

Joseph L. Schoendienst, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at the age of 94. Loving husband of 73 years to the late Irene Anne (nee. Budde) Schoendienst; beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary Schoendienst; devoted father of Tom (Margarette) Schoendienst, Don (Jan) Schoendienst, Jerry (Donna Whitaker) Schoendienst, JoAnn (Mike) Morrison, and Jim (Lisa) Schoendienst; cherished grandfather of Melinda (Jon) Hood, Liz (John) McCanna, Ashley Hardebeck, Danny (Allison) Schoendienst, Matthew Morrison, and Melissa (Scott) Miller; treasured great-grandfather of 10, Joseph is also preceded in death by his Grandchildren, Nick Schoendienst and Eric Chambers; and his siblings, Andrew “Ducks” Schoendienst, Loretta Billhartz, Eugene “Mickey” Schoendienst, Julius “Charlie” Schoendienst, Albert "Red" Schoendienst, and Elmer “Yonner” Schoendienst. 

Joe was born and baptized into the Catholic Faith. Joe played in the Minor League's for the St. Louis Cardinals, showcasing his passion for baseball. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. Joe worked for Southwestern Bell, now AT&T, and retired after many years of service. He enjoyed traveling with Irene and was devoted to his family. Joseph was deeply cherished, and his absence leaves a significant void for those fortunate enough to have known him.
