Josephine Marie Pizzo

Josephine Marie Pizzo (nee Moceri), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at the age of 94. Husband, Jack Pizzo; beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mattea Moceri; devoted mother of Theresa Pizzo, Mickie (the late Seth) Otto, Petrina (Steve) Walters, Faro (Cindy) Pizzo, Anna (Tom) Micks, Constance (Bart) Pizzo,  Joseph (Cathy) Pizzo, and Jackie (Randy) Breckenkamp; cherished grandmother of 18, great-grandmother of 26, and great-great grandmother of 1. Preceded in death by her brother, Jim Moceri; and her sisters, Grace, Sadie, Rose, Pat.

Josephine was a member Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church. She volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul Society. Josephine’s greatest love and happiness was her family. All of her children were proud to call her mom. Josephine loved music, she enjoyed spending hours and hours taping songs on CD’s for her friends and family. Christmas was her busiest time when she precorded holiday music for everyone.

Every third Sunday, the entire family, including all the grandkids, would have dinner together at Josephine’s house. She would play cards and dice with her sons and sons-in-law or games with the grandkids. She loved all the commotion.

For the last decade of her husband’s, Jack, life Josephine took loving care of him. As her own health declined, Josephine often said “If I died tomorrow, I will have lived a great life.”

She touched a lot of lives through her kindness and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Memorials may be made in Josephine's name to BJC Hospice.
