Josephine Pyle

Josephine Pyle, affectionately known as Jo, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of James R. Pyle; cherished daughter of the late Walter and Mary Gore; devoted mother of Vickie Lynn Haidle, James Allen Pyle, and the late Jeffrey Scott Pyle; loving grandmother of eleven, great-grandmother of nineteen; great-great-grandmother of two; dear sister of the late Alice Horton, late Erma Norris, and (current) Jean Stroud. Josephine is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Josephine was originally from Carlisle, Indiana. Her CB handle was “Pokey Jo” which she lived up to by being slow in everything she did. She was a very proud military wife for 67 years who enjoyed square dancing and bowling with the family. She and her husband were well traveled, going to many places worldwide, such as Alaska, Taiwan and the Philippines, to name a few. Jo will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
