Joyce Bruening

Joyce L. Bruening (nee Kolb), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Ronald S. Bruening; cherished daughter of the late George and Virginia Kolb. Devoted mother of Keith Bruening, the late Karen L. (John) Holub and the late Kevin Bruening; loving grandmother of Jessica (Jesse) Murphy, Kurt Bruening, and Katie Bruening and Kurt and Katie's mother Brenda Bruening; treasured great-grandmother of Maverick Murphy; dear sister of Ted (Phyllis) Kolb; sister-in-law of Marge Kolb; many nieces, nephews, cousins. Joyce is also preceded in death by her siblings, JoAnn (the late Donald) Russell, Shirley (the late Henry) Schoene and Bob Kolb.

Joyce was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She delighted in spending quality time with her family and enjoying activities such as bowling and playing Pinochle. Additionally, she cherished the opportunity to reconnect over lunch with friends from her high school days. Joyce was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
