Joyce K. Albanese (nee Roden), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late John Onofrio Albanese her first husband and the late Donald Jack Clooney her second husband; cherished daughter of the late Edward Roden and Dorothy Steele. Devoted mother of Phillip (the late Mimi) Albanese, John (Birgit) Albanese, Anthony Albanese, David (Amy) Albanese, Salvatore (Patrizia) Albanese, Francis Albanese, Onofrio (Karen) Albanese, Giovanna Spence, and Kevin (Katie) Clooney; loving grandmother of Aimee, Mollie, Sally, Kristin, the late Phillip, Jennifer, Mary, Alison, the late Nicole, the late Jamie, Joseph, Christopher, Josh, John-Mario, Rosa, Mara, Marco, Gloria, Francesca, Shannon, and the late Shawn Patrick; treasured great-grandmother of R.J., the late Marcus, Zakiya, Kayden, Keagen, Dawnielle, Antonio, Nathan, Austin, Brandon, Kaylie, Sabrina, Zachary, Ella, Phillip, Gracie, Kenneth, Viktor, Owen, Theodore, and River; great-great grandmother of Julian, Evangeline and Easton; dear sister of the late Edward Roden and the late Johnny Roden. Joyce was an active lifetime member of the catholic church. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church for over 20 years. Joyce enjoyed being a housekeeper and caregiver. Her hobbies included cooking, singing, and amateur dramatics. Joyce was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
