Juanita Huddleston

Juanita C. Huddleston, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at the age of 83.  Loving wife of the late James R. Huddleston; beloved daughter of the late Ralph W. and Pauline Smith; devoted mother of Lisa Boyd, Robin Baker, and Neill Carnahan; sister of Glendon (Melba) Smith; cherished grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother to many; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many more.

Juanita was also preceded in death by daughters, Sherry Cole and Paula (Dennis) Brooks; grandchildren, Johnny Joe Smith and Carry Hampton; and great granddaughter, Cassandra Patredis.

Juanita loved to cook for her family and friends, and made the best biscuits and gravy and fried pies.  She dedicated more than 10 years of her career to owning various restaurants in Lincoln County.  When she was not in the kitchen, she enjoyed piddling in the garden, reading romance novels, playing slots on the computer, or checking out yard sales for a great bargain.  Juanita was a cheerful presence who loved people and never met a stranger.  More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
