Juanita “Nikki” Carol Montague

October 19, 1939 — September 7, 2020

“Nikki”, Juanita Carol Montague (nee Montague), formerly of New York and New Jersey area, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at the age of 80. She was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret Lino; devoted mother of Michael and his partner Rhonda; cherished grandmother of Michael, Carlton, Lauren, Xavier, and Reece; treasured great-grandmother of eight; dear sister of  "Huckle Buck" and  Georgette; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, all part of her Swepson and Barrows family; cherished by many others that have been honorably adopted, as extended family, into her heart throughout the years.

Nikki’s family was one of the most important part of her life. She wore her heart on her sleeve for everyone to see; if they ever needed anything, she was always there for them. She was a "saucy" lady who made the best of everything.  She loved her “special water” (aka: Margaritas) and enjoyed going to the movies. She appreciated life, loved good food and delighted in having spirited conversations. She was an avid swimmer; loved to entertain her family/friends and enjoyed traveling around the world.

Nikki was Senior Vice President at American Express for many years before retiring. She was a very creative individual who showcased her talents on Broadway in “Golden Boy” and wrote radio shows with W.C. Handy in Upstate New York. She loved Jehovah and took great pleasure in sharing that love through field service and bringing people to Jehovah.

Nikki would want pay special recognition to the following: The Manchester – Mo congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for their support and love; The Westchester House, her home for the last 5 years; with special love and appreciation to Kanecha, one of her care takers, who treated Nikki like she was her own mother; Dr. Thomas Pohlman, he was not only her doctor, but a very special friend who took excellent care of her for 13+ years.

Nikki was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Juanita's name to Jehova’s Witnesses at https://donate.jw.org/ui/E/donate-home.html#/donate.
