Judy Groeteke

Ballwin, Missouri

Judy Belva Groeteke (nee Schwegler), of Ballwin, MO, passed away Friday, April 192024 at the age of 83. Cherished daughter of the late Willard and Belva Schwegler; devoted mother of Steven (Angie) Groeteke and Brian (Linda) Groeteke; loving grandmother of Samuel Groeteke, Emma (Zack Brust) Groeteke, Dustin (Rebecca) Groeteke and Dylan (Nicole) Groeteke; treasured great-grandmother of Hadleigh Groeteke, Mason Groeteke and Addie Groeteke; dear sister of Ely Schwegler and the late Tim (Nancy) Schwegler; aunt of Matt Schwegler and Sam Schwegler; Judy is also preceded in death by her cousin, Pricilla (Frank) Roeder.  

 

Judy had a strong faith and was very involved in her church, Living Word United Methodist Church. She was very friendly and always made new friends everywhere she went. Judy was intelligent and resourceful and always happy to learn new things. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, shopping, watching butterflies, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She adored her family and is now reunited with her brother Tim, whom she missed greatly. 

 

Judy was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. 

 

Memorials may be made in Judy's name to Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and Living Word United Methodist Church.
