June Marie Baumgartner

June Marie (Owens) Baumgartner, of O’Fallon, Mo, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the age of 88.  Loving wife of the late Robert Baumgartner; beloved daughter of the late Charles and Irma Owens; devoted mother of Kevin (the late Kimberly) Baumgartner and Jill (James) Mahoney; cherished grandmother of Shawna Baumgartner, Brian (Brittany) Baumgartner, Patrick Mahoney, Meaghan (Tyler) Goodwin; treasured great-grandmother of Wesley, Brenden, Mackenzie, Noah and Shay.  June is also preceded in death by her daughter Diane Baumgartner and her brother Jean Owens. 

June spent her early career as an elementary school teacher in multiple school districts in both Illinois and Missouri.  She later moved careers to the St Louis Library system as a Librarian for over 20 years in both the library and school bookmobile where she retired.  June also spent a brief time in food service at Villa Gesu, a Catholic retirement home for nuns.

June was married to her beloved husband Robert for 60 loving years.  They enjoyed going on trips together and visiting many national parks, June was very passionate about cooking, crafting and spending time with friends and family.  June was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
