She taught language arts at St. Charles High School for 20 plus years and was named teacher of the year in 1984. She was truly dedicated to her students and enjoyed her chance encounters with them after her retirement. She was a 50-year member of PEO and an active member of Chapter JY. She enjoyed tennis and golf (a hole-in-one achiever) and in her later years was an avid gardener and bridge player. She will always be remembered and dearly missed.
