Karen A. Windler

Karen A. Windler (nee Wappelhorst), of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at the age of 73.  Loving wife of the late Daniel E. Windler; beloved daughter of the late Aloysius and Esther Wappelhorst; dear sister of John (Karen) Wappelhorst; cherished aunt of Ben Wappelhorst, Nick (Sandy) Wappelhorst, Sam (Catie) Wappelhorst, Michael, Kevin, Jill, Scott and Stephanie; great-aunt of Max Wappelhorst; and dearest sister-in-law of Jane (Craig) O’Sadnick and Stephen (Judy) Windler.  Karen was a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Karen loved her dogs, and always looked forward to her walks with her Brittany Spaniels.  She liked to be outdoors and was a natural with gardening, where she proved to have a true green thumb.  She enjoyed dinners out and spending time with her husband and their friends.  In her younger years, Karen had fun bowling with the Thursday Night Owls bowling team.

Karen was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.  Memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to Five Acres Animal Shelter or Masses.
