Karen L. Maupin

Karen L. Maupin (nee McKay) of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the age of 70. Beloved wife of 31 wonderful years to Richard A. Maupin; cherished daughter of the late Hal F. McKay and Sadie McKay; devoted mother of Jay F. (Kristi) Draper and Dianna (Jeffery) Walker; loving stepmother of Stacy Cody, Doug (Kathy) Maupin, and Danny Maupin; dear sister of Marlene Buren. Karen is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Karen, Jewish by birth, was a dedicated Christian by choice and a member of Grace Church St. Louis. She was active in both the student ministry at her church, and in the clown ministry where she loved playing “Rosie the Clown”. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and cherished time spent with her family and beloved dogs, Priscilla, Dolly, and Fiasco. Karen was kind and unassuming, and will be remembered for her gentle and friendly nature. She was a treasured wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
