Karen Ruth Lampin
Karen Ruth Lampin, 79 passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 2, 2018. She had been ill with a respiratory illness for a few days before her death.
She was born November 5, 1939 in Beckley, West Virginia the daughter of Lula and Harry Kidwell. She married Charles Lampin Sr. on August 12, 1961 in Newport, Va.
She was a housewife for over 45 years until his death on December 21, 2007. She never got over his passing.
She is survived by a son Charles Lampin (Barbara) of St. Charles, Missouri and grandchildren Jack, Paige and Allison. She is also survived by 3 siblings, Joy Maxey of Melbourne, Florida, James Lambert of Champaign, Illinois and Audrey Vira of Beckley, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Jeffrey Lee Lampin. In addition, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dick Kidwell and Sister, Marie Jones of Danville, Illinois. While Karen had a very close relationship with her son Chuck, she had a special bond with her grandson Jack Lampin. He FaceTimed “Mimmie” often and would spend nights with her on weekends. They were best of buddies and could often be found eating lunch together at Red Robin or Culver’s. She will be missed by us immensely.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Baue Funeral Home on West Clay in St. Charles, Missouri. Services at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 10 at the funeral home and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St Louis immediately thereafter.
