Karen J. Snider

May 8, 1960 — April 3, 2023

O'Fallon, Missouri

Karen J. Snider (Jackson) of O’Fallon, Missouri, beloved wife, mother and daughter, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2023 at the age of 62.

Karen was born on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1960 to Robert and Shirley Jackson (Hewlett) in St. Charles, Missouri. After graduating from Francis Howell High School, she attended Northeast Missouri State University and University of Missouri St. Louis, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She began her professional career at The Schultz Company, Senoret Chemical Company and later retired from Spectrum Brands as a financial analyst in 2022 so she could focus on her family and enjoying life.

Karen’s life was centered around her two great loves; God and her family. On October 24, 1992 she married Kurt Snider and the two shared over 30 wonderful years of love and adventure. They had two children, Kaitlyn Hagee (Brian) and Austin Snider who she considered to be her greatest accomplishments. She took great joy in their many activities and could always be found at their games, concerts and performances, supporting them and many others along the way.

She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and humble servant to Him and His church. She touched many lives through her volunteer activities as a Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church worker and Youth Sponsor. She also served on many boards and committees as well as Church Treasurer.

Karen was a huge sports fan and especially loved her St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. She was an avid scrapbooker and created dozens of scrapbooks preserving family memories throughout the years.

Karen was preceded in death by her brothers, David and Michael Jackson and nephew Shane Jackson. She is survived by her parents, husband, children and many family members and friends.
