Karl T. Duncan Jr., of O Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Nancy Duncan; cherished son of the late Karl, Sr., and Ruth Duncan; devoted father of Katrinna (Anthony) Gutermuth and Kevin (Kassandra) Duncan; loving grandfather of Aaron Gutermuth, A.J. Gutermuth, Corey Gutermuth, Brent Gutermuth, Ian Duncan, and Ainsley Duncan; treasured great-grandfather of McKenzie Gutermuth and Hailey Gutermuth; dear brother of Andreva (the late Gary) Bentsen and the late Sheila Lemons.
Karl proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, where he served at Vandenberg AFB in California. He attended Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of the O’Fallon Elks Lodge #2587, the O’Fallon Jaycees, and a member of the O’Fallon Police Reserve. A native of West Virginia, Karl went on to move frequently throughout his childhood, and spent time living in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. His family finally settled in Missouri, and he was a resident of O’Fallon for over 50 years. Karl loved to draw, dance, and play the piano. He generously volunteered his time playing piano at both his church and at nursing homes entertaining the residents. Karl was very friendly, social, and he liked to joke, but was also deeply caring, and very loving to his family. Karl was a much beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Karl's honor to the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or the
Leukemia and Lymphona Society.
