Katherine “Kathy” Schmidt

Schmidt, Katherine (nee Pollard), of Florissant, Missouri, passed away on Monday January 23, 2017, at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Elmer Schmidt; beloved daughter of the late James and Bessie Pollard; devoted mother of Rebecca “Becky” (Patrick) Pierce, and Brian (Sandra) Pulling; cherished grandmother of Robert and Steven Pierce, and Nathan Pulling; dear sister of Imogene Miller, Deanna Dowd, James “Bud” (Mary) Pollard, Carl “Short” (Karen) Pollard, and Betty (Ernest) Frye; treasured aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Pollard.

Kathy was a very classy person and stylish dresser, and always had an immaculate house. She loved to travel, play Bingo, and garden. She also loved reading and was a big Cardinals fan. What Kathy lived for, though, was her grandchildren, Robert, Steven, and Nathan. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
