Kathleen Johnson Brunsden was born to Pearl Beatrice Campbell Johnson and Willis Anthony Johnson on July 16, 1948. Bea married Charles Bill Robinson in 1950. Bea and CB lovingly raised three children, Kathleen Johnson, Charles Robinson, Jr. and Gregory Robinson. Kathleen attended Visitation and St. Matthew's catholic grade school in St. Louis, Missouri. Kathleen graduated from Mount St. Benedict's Academy in Crookston, Minnesota in 1966. She studied Radiology at St. Louis University (1966-1970) and St. Louis County Hospital (1969-1971). Kathleen graduated from Washington University's School of Nuclear Medicine Technology in 1972, receiving her Bachelor of Arts from National Lewis University in 1989, and her Masters of Business Administration from Washington University in 1995. After graduation in 1971, Kathleen began her 20 year career at Washington University as a radiographer, nuclear medicine technologist and hospital administrator. Kathleen left WU for 10 years to persue a career in technical support and sales with Siemens, Elscint and Fonar. Kathleen spent the last 12 years of her career as a senior hospital administrator, consultant and director for Barnes-Jewish Hospital of BJC Healthcare. Kathleen was married to Larry McClenton from 1971-1976. In 1986, Kathleen married her best friend and love of her life, Barry Brunsden. Although Kathleen and Barry were of different generations, religions and races, they shared a love that over came all. Kathleen leaves to mourn: her brothers, Charles and Gregory Robinson; nephews, Matthew Deres, Jon Michael Richardson and Tyler Eugene Robinson; niece, Amy Deres; grandniece, Molly Modumba-Deres; sisters-in-law, Barbara Brunsden, Robyn Deres and Donna Robinson; cousins, Leslie Coleman, Renee' Stayton, Nicole Gales; "sisters," Shirley Perry, Johnnie Moore and Connie Davis; and a host of loving relatives, friends and colleagues. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Brunsden, her father, Willis Anthony Johnson, her daughter, Margaret Shannon McClenton, her mother, Pearl Robinson, her "daddy," Charles Robinson and her grandmother, Dorothy Hawkins.
