Kathleen Churchill O'Brien

O’Brien, Kathleen (nee Churchill) died 7th of July 2022. Preceded in death by her parents Robert & Rosemary; and her spouse John King.  

Big sister to Robert, Tim, & Kevin; she attended High School at St. Elizabeth and made many lifelong friends. Married 1966 to Terry O’Brien, raised sons Kevin & Mark; adored by grandkids Jack, Emma, Erin & Peter, who fondly remember summers swimming in her pool. Kathie enjoyed suntanning, gardening, and ripping out the poison ivy despite her extreme allergies.  

A courageous 21-year-old Kathie lovingly gave a son for adoption. In 2018 Kathie reconnected with Chris Fitzpatrick and her two new grandchildren Jack and Tommy. Kathie’s three sons and families remain in close contact. Kathie married in 1996 to John King (d. 2008) and followed Rosemary’s lead and worked for City of Chesterfield; Wildwood.  

Private memorial service. Kathie gifted her remains to research at SLU, thus in lieu of flowers, donate today to the Alzheimer’s Association.
