Kathryn A. Bird

Bird, Kathryn Ann (nee: Phillips), of Lake Saint Louis, MO, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the age of 86. Loving wife of the late Wayne Lee Bird; beloved daughter of the late Adam and Nellie (nee: Jones) Phillips; devoted mother of Linda Johnson of Lake St. Louis, MO, Darrel (Pam) Bird, of Sparta, IL, Shirley (Larry) Hermanns, of Coulterville, IL, and Charles (Linda) Bird, of Marissa, IL; cherished grandmother of 11; treasured great-grandmother of 20; and dear sister of Dixie Phillips, of Pinckneyville, IL, and sister-in-law of Mabel Bird, of Goreville, IL. Kathryn is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, James Phillips and Charles "Elmer" Phillips.

Kathryn worked for World Color Printing for over 20 years before she retired. She was previously an active member of First Baptist Church of Sparta, IL, until she moved to St. Charles County, MO. She then became an active member of First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, MO, where she loved attending Sunday school. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and cooking. She especially enjoyed making special keepsakes and special meals for her family. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
